Galaxy Tab 10.1 App issues

Post by gravage »

First of all, thanks for all of the hard work on this. I honestly couldn't stand using my tablet without it.

I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1, software version 4.1.2. I'm running Adblock 1.1.1 and I have the proxy settings set up correctly for my wifi connection. I'm having the following issues with apps when Adblock is enabled:
  • 1. Youtube app will sometimes not load content. Sometimes, it's the video itself. Other times, it's the comments or suggested videos. I simply get a "network error. Hammering the "retry" button will get it to work eventually, but it crops up again
    2. Google Play connection issues. This affects downloads as well as in-app purchases (Comixology) and takes several attempts before it will work.
    3. Tapatalk. This has honestly never worked with ABP running, but I wanted to report it anyway, as it will work on my rooted tablet with both Adfree and Adaway running. Something about ADP specifically blocks the app from working at all. It is unable to load networks or show threads
I have tried both Easylist and Fanboys and I get the same results, though Youtube appears to be working slightly better with Fanboy. These are my only issues with the app, but they are making it very difficult to use my Tablet, especially when I'm trying to make app purchases or watch Youtube videos. ABP is blocking apps beautifully, I don't even get commercials in Youtube. But I'm hoping these issues can be resolved. Thanks.
