Ads on https://torrentz2.eu/

Post by Spawn Brimstone »

After doing a file search on https://torrentz2.eu/, ads come up. I tried to block the element, but, somehow, they are able to defeat the element blocking.

Thanks, I tried those and they didn't work.

The element that seems to be immune is:
torrentz2.eu##iframe[style="width: 100%; margin: 0px auto; overflow: hidden; opacity: 1; transition: height 0.3s linear, opacity 0.3s ease-in; border: none; display: block; height: 300px;"]
Whenever you revisit or refresh the page that has that on it, the ads reappear.

This 1
torrentz2.eu##[class*=AcceptableAds]

should work ... but does not work in ABP for chrome / opera due to low priority of user stylesheets. A patch for chrome will land soon ..
otherwise you could test uBo adblocker which has other approach and can hide that ad

Darn, I'm using Opera. I guess I'll just wait for the patch as I have a lot of custom filters on ABP. In the meantime, I installed ScriptBlock and turned it on for that site. Everything is function on the site except the automatic drop-down. I can live with that.
