Adblock and Windows 8.1
Adblock and Windows 8.1
Adblock Plus is awesome! I recently purchased a new computer which has Windows 8.1 (which I hate). Now when I go online, it freezes up all the time. I uninstalled Adblock, reluctantly and it did help with the freeze ups quite a bit. Is Adblock compatible with Windows 8.1? Will there be an update? Adblock is the best extension and I have a feeling that Microsoft is the main problem that is making computer use impossible. They make the money off the ads, etc. and I can't go longer than 5 minutes without a freeze up. Please help. Thank you.

Are you talking about ABP for IE ?
(What version is your IE ?)

No. I am using Google Chrome. I also use Comodo Dragon and still get the same result.
Re: Adblock and Windows 8.1
what chrome version are you using ?
go to extensions page (settings, tools, extensions)
disable ABP (I guess 1.8.1 version ?)
install the last dev build and re-test for the freezing
the last dev build:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... ifjjdoepkn
tell me what filter lists are you using ==> click ABP icon, options, "filter lists" tab

Adblock Plus for IE is completely different than ABP for Chrome/Opera/Safari, which in turn is different from ABP for Firefox/Seamonkey.
