I tried the free version for awhile. Then it asked if I would like to purchase so I did. its been 4 or 5 months since I purchased Adblock and it has quit working. the icon no longer shows up on my internet homepage like it did and I'm getting hundreds of video ads that slow everything down. I've tried to repair it on my programs and features page. didn't work. even downloaded the free version again to see if that would kick start anything. nope. that was a week ago. I pretty much got ripped off.

ABP does not cost anything ==> there is not paid version, so you probably are talking about some other software or even malware masked as ABP

what browser (and what version) are you using ?
what ABP version (if ...ABP) ?
what subscriptions / filter lists ?

if firefox ==> try to create a new firefox profile (see my signature for that)
