[Incomplete] Update re-applies "Allow intrusive ads" option

Post by supaneko »

As someone who does PC setups and installs Adblock as a feature, it's frustrating to be recalled because the settings I have applied are reset every time an update is made.

Please check and ensure that all settings remain "stuck" after an update.

BTW... I [heart] me some Adblock, with or without the "non-intrusive" ads.

Please clarify, update from which Adblock Plus version? We are only supposed to set up "Allow non-intrusive ads" when updating from a version below 2.0b.3269.

Try subscribing to a privacy-related list, like EasyPrivacy, Fanboy Tracking, or Adversity Privacy, and then see whether ABP updates reapply "acceptable ads"
There's a buzzin' in my brain I really can't explain; I think about it before they make me go to bed.

It shouldn't matter - enabling "non-intrusive ads" is a one-time thing, when updating from 1.3.x to 2.0.x.
