[Incomplete] Element Hiding Helper does not work

Post by marialap »

Hi,
after upgrade from Firefox 3.6 to 7.0 and 8.0 Element Hiding Helper (v. 1.1.4) would not work at all. I. e., when I click on hide element -> add filter, nothting changes and selected elements (text ads etc) remain visible.
Adblock plus works OK.

How to solve this problem?

Thank you in advance.

Remove element hiding helper, clear cache... reinstall
if that doesn't work,
install the development build.

Most likely issue is that Element Hiding Helper adds filters to a filter group that is disabled. Please open Adblock Plus Filter Prefreneces, go to the "Custom filters" tab and make sure that "Enabled" is checked for all groups.

Thank you for replies
I`ve done everything stated above - nothing helps :-(
It seems that the only thing to do is to return to the older version of FF.
