Every update attempts to crash Chrome

Not sure if this is a bug or a feature but ABP decided to announce it updated and sent my computer crazy for a moment. How you ask? Simple.
It opened 86 tabs simultaneously asking me to give money. 86
If this a bug I humbly request it be fixed and if it's a feature... Why?
