False positives?

Post by ProteinMachine »

Hey all, I've been using AdBlock Plus for a long time. It was one of the first add-ons I've installed in my Chrome browser. Up until recently, it was all smooth sailing. The add-on worked great on just about any website, and has saved me weeks I'd otherwise spend watching ads.

When competitor plugins appeared, I didn't jump ship. I'm the type of person who sticks to something if it works. Well, that's why I'm here. AdBlock Plus isn't really working for me anymore. Just to be clear, it's taking care of the pedestrian stuff such as YT ads and ad blocks on different websites. However, lately, it has started blocking a lot of what I consider to be non-ads.

One of my pastimes is playing online slots. It's something I'm passionate about, but also something I'm doing responsibly. A major part of this passion is finding slot games I can play without depositing any money. I do this by searching sites like this one casinoshortlist.org that have all of those places neatly listed and compiled for me. AdBlock has started blocking almost all of the links on this particular site as ads. When I turn it off, everything works, but I'm flooded with ads. Is there a way to resolve this as I really don't want to jump ship to a different service?
