Adblock Plus

Recently (in the last 2 weeks) ads started playing in Youtube videos. This is the first time I have seen Youtube ads since I first installed ABP years ago. Does anyone know a way to get them to stop again? Thank you!

Same here, but it just started for me today. I have 10 ABP filters and they're all updated. On my browser, it doesn't play the ad, but rather has a white transparent screen with a still image of the ad in the background, and the option to skip the ad. If you don't skip it, it automatically goes to the video (or another ad) in about 5 seconds. There's no countdown for this 5 seconds.

This is exactly what I am getting, The screen is white with some text in the middle and a skip button to the side. If I do nothing it goes to the video in a few seconds.

Having this exact same issue! Anybody figured out what the problem is?

i believed youtube has updated its adsense to fight adblock. because it hasn't been like this last week. I will like to see if adblock is going to find a way to counter on what youtube has updated because it looks like that they are breaching it.

None of this worked for me. Still seeing ads. Ahh!

I guess ABP support will find a fix soon. Just have to wait & see.

I've been fiddling with custom filters but only get part way to fixing it.

I'll report back if I get anywhere.

It suppresses the ads themselves completely, but the interruption with the 'Skip Ads' button remains with blank screen on player until the button is clicked or it times out. This is an improvement because no obtrusive sound.

I tried filters to suppress the display, but did not intercept the interruption, so that's a dead end.

The extension does not block ads, it automatically clicks the 'Skip' button.
Sometimes you will briefly see the skip button.

All of a sudden there are a whole mess of extensions out there that do this, but this is the one I picked.

Apparently they got their stuff worked out. As of today I'm no longer seeing YouTube ads. Thank you ABP!

I just did a thorough going over of my YouTube related extensions (not just the one I mentioned) and was able to eliminate several of them for a cleaner overall installation.
