Hi everyone,
I'm back here , once again because ads on Tom's Hardware aren't blocked. I use Chrome. On FireFox they don't show up. Scanned PC with up-to-date AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes. It's clean.
I've tried blocking those two particularly annoying ads (the one on top of the "Latest Articles" section and the one to the right of the "Best Picks" section to no avail. No matter what I do, at first, when the page is nearly loaded, the ads don't seem to show up but then a couple seconds later, they pop up.
There are way too many tabs right now in Chrome to reinstall the application. I've already tried disabling every single extension except ABP, reinstalling ABP, re-updating the filters, leaving only one (EasyList) enabled. It simply doesn't work.
What I'd like to get is not just help with the stuff that needs to be inserted to make those ads disappear but also the way to do it, so that I can do it myself next time some fool decides to mess with a site's configuration to screw ABP users (I visit Toms' Hardware every single day and last night the ads weren't there).
Not sure if this is of any help, but Adblock (not ABP) and AdGuard don't block these ads either so something's definitely different in Tom's Hardware's page configuration.
Ads not blocked on Tom's Hardware anymore
Re: Ads not blocked on Tom's Hardware anymore
save your custom filters from ABP, disable it, instal the last dev build:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... ifjjdoepkn
then paste the custom filters in the new ABP

if still seeing ads, provide example link page, upload screenshot with the ads you see
