new tab pop-up from yify.tv

I am trying to suppress new tabs from being opened when clicking on any media stream on yify.tv. All ads are blocked successfully on the page itself with the easylist filter enabled, but a new tab always opens with an ad (usually with sound) although focus stays on the desired video stream tab. For instance, going to this url

and clicking the video to play causes an additional new tab with an address similar to:

http://oasc18065.247realmedia.com/RealMedia/ads/adstream_sx.ads/S0006554/17496645478702058@x10?uln=en-us&je=false&ce=true&sr=1920x1080&kw=&ref=

but then it quickly switches to a random ad on various other sites. I tried to make a rule to block the 247realmedia.com domain, but it still seems to get through. Any help is greatly appreciated! I'm running chrome v53.0.2785.154 on a chromebox.

i found some similar issues with primewire.ag posts that mapx solved, had to add these custom filters:
