Adblock Plus

I choice to whitelist a site to support them... but then they spammed me with popups (this is on chrome), There's no way I would ever want popups.... I'd prefer to disable during whitelisting.

Does this make sense?

you could whitelist only the normal ads you want to see or ... use other extensions for blocking the popups, like:
