Chrome slow on startup

With AdBlock Plus for Chrome enabled, the startup of Chrome has suddenly started taking almost a full minute. I've been using ABP for quite some time, and this just started in the past few weeks. When opening Chrome and waiting for the New Tab page to load, there's a "processing request" popup in the lower left that sits there until it finally says connecting to ABP. I've disabled all my other extensions and narrowed it down to this one.

which are your filter lists ?

I had the same issue for about a month and fixed it by going into options on ABP, general tab, and unchecking the box 'Show 'Block Element' right-click menu item'

That tip just helped my Chrome startup time too — by quite a lot.
Can this be filed as a bug or feature request on AdBlock Plus to either turn that option off when Chrome restarts or at least somehow defer it until after the tabs are loaded?
