Ad-Block Plus rendered many pages useless after update 10/28
Re: Ad-Block Plus rendered many pages useless after update 10/28
I can reproduce this on both nfl.com and goodhousekeeping.com with Fanboy's list, nothing happens when I click on a link.
Seems to work fine with Easylist.

Re: Ad-Block Plus rendered many pages useless after update 10/28
If I use this whitelistnfl.com works with Fanboy's list. Note that Fanboy has a filter for scorecardresearch.com in his ad blocking list and we have it EasyPrivacy.
On hp.com it only works if 2 tracking pixels are whitelisted ("@@||hp.com/b/ss/$image"). Same for http://www.adobe.com/ ("@@||stats.adobe.com/b/ss/$image").
Code: Select all
@@||b.scorecardresearch.com/r?$image

Re: Ad-Block Plus rendered many pages useless after update 10/28
I didn't see any scorecardresearch.com domains on nfl.com and goodhousekeeping.com
/edit I can reproduce the issue in goodhousekeeping.com, but I cant see which filters is causing it. Adblock Plus extension issue.

It works for me if I add the same whitelist as for nfl.com:fanboy wrote:/edit I can reproduce the issue in goodhousekeeping.com, but I cant see which filters is causing it. Adblock Plus extension issue.

Re: Ad-Block Plus rendered many pages useless after update 10/28
Okay, I'll whitelist it, but really its bug in adblock plus/chrome... which should be fixed upstream and not by authors.

You're right, we'll look into it.fanboy wrote:Okay, I'll whitelist it, but really its bug in adblock plus/chrome... which should be fixed upstream and not by authors.
Re: Ad-Block Plus rendered many pages useless after update 10/28
Thanks, guys! I updated to 1.3.1 today and it seems that the update fixed the problem. Appreciate your prompt attention to this!

No, it hasn't.gschra11 wrote:Thanks, guys! I updated to 1.3.1 today and it seems that the update fixed the problem. Appreciate your prompt attention to this!
Re: Ad-Block Plus rendered many pages useless after update 10/28
Probably works for you because Fanboy added a whitelist for a workaround.gschra11 wrote:Thanks, guys! I updated to 1.3.1 today and it seems that the update fixed the problem. Appreciate your prompt attention to this!
Re: Ad-Block Plus rendered many pages useless after update 10/28
Been playing around with this using different lists and it seems as though both the Easy Privacy and Fanboy Tracking lists break links in the sites mentioned above (I'm using the latest AdBlock Dev version in Chrome). Strangely though the Fanboy Complete list, that I'm using right now, doesn't break them. Another site where you can see the unresponsive link symptom is the Adobe 'Test Shockwave' page - if you click on 'Test Flash' nothing happens. Remove Easy Privacy or FB Tracking and it works again.
Re: Ad-Block Plus rendered many pages useless after update 10/28
Is there an update on this, fhd? ABP/Easy Privacy is breaking the front page of seattletimes.com. (Yes, I know there are workarounds.)

No, I haven't worked on this yet. Will look into it next week, assuming I find the timeAsdkcso wrote:Is there an update on this, fhd? ABP/Easy Privacy is breaking the front page of seattletimes.com. (Yes, I know there are workarounds.)
Re: Ad-Block Plus rendered many pages useless after update 10/28
using easyprivacy, for walmart.com:
Code: Select all
@@/b/ss/$domain=walmart.com
Re: Ad-Block Plus rendered many pages useless after update 10/28
So, I finally have some time to look into this
MonztA or fanboy: Do you think you can help me track down the bug a bit more?

Fanboy's list does have that whitelisting rule by now, but I don't see where scoredcardresearch.com is being filtered.MonztA wrote:If I use this whitelistsnfl.com works with Fanboy's list. Re: Ad-Block Plus rendered many pages useless after update 10/28
Apparently the sites no longer use scorecardresearch.com anymore. However, it is still reproducible on adobe.com (make sure you have EasyPrivacy).
Links will only work in Chrome if this tracking pixel on adobe.com is not blocked:Same for chip.de:Everythings working fine if you whitelist them:
