Here's adblock plus forum.

These filters are working fine in ABP for chrome:

Probably your ublock for safari is not supported by gorhill as I know, so you should use chrome + an adblocker (safari has many limitations in its API for extensions)

My apologies, I should have explained that I had tried AdBlock Plus, failed to block these ads, then gone to uBlock, still failed and was going back and forth.

In any case, I deleted all my filters, copied your code and voila, IT WORKS!!! (for now...) I can't explain what I did wrong but so far all is well with AdBlock Plus on Safari.

The ads have come back on both Chrome and Safari. They sometimes take one to five minutes to appear, but they do.

just install the last dev build of ABP (chrome)

and disable / remove the stable one
first you should save your custom filters and paste them in the new ABP

but I guess does not work for safari. You should stick with chrome (safari has an old webrequest API and does not allow advanced blocking)
