woke up to this today :
red element highlight every where on ad placeholders
no filters work anymore except the personal ones
pre rolls in yt i have not had to see for 5 yrs!!
read up on all this crap with Manifest 3 and i am assumign that is what broke ABP ?
is there any way around this? i use an LMHOST file. does Chrome still hate that, too and block those? or is it just monitoring extensions?
i simply cannot surf the web like this each day!
so im just wondering if this is the official end of ABP? for me, it will prob be my official end experiencing Chrome!!

Thanks for reaching out about that. We've been making lots of changes in preparation for Manifest v3, but Adblock Plus is still based on Manifest v2, so there shouldn't be any problems due to Manifest v3 yet.
Do you have the "Turn on debug element hiding filters mode" option enabled in the Advanced tab of the settings page? Because that would explain the red highlighting of ad elements that would otherwise be hidden.
Regarding the broken filter lists, the following could be helpful:
1. Check whether you see any error next to a filter list in the Advanced tab of the settings page.
2. Click on the "Update all filter lists" button in the Advanced tab of the settings page to make sure you have the latest version of those filter lists.
3. Report the issue with further information to filter developers and us by clicking on the "Report an issue on this page" button in the extension toolbar icon popup.

hey thank you for getting back to me! at least you guys care and respond unlike Facebook and Google and the rest of them. I'll go ahead and check on the elements because I think I do have that turned on because I do interact with the keyboard a lot more since I have bad eyes and I'm going blind and I'm learning to use my keyboard more because I'll be confined to it eventually. anyway, just quickly there's a movie page I watch all the time and without me giving you a link I will just describe it and maybe you can throw a filter my way it's got to be one of the most elite crafted pages I have ever seen. I usually go into source code and look at scripts and see where things are being called and I can usually lmhost those and I can also deny things like BT loader which is a script that tries to allow ads and block ad blockers things like that. but this page I can never do anything with so the issue is it's an overlay so if I was to go to the embedded player and I hovered my mouse over the minute I got to the players section underneath my URL I would get a randomized name. com and then a long refer and it would be pointing to the video player URL handler. I have gone in in black hole the random name, and it does nothing except give you a redirect to a blank page I'm trying to make it so that doesn't load at all so I don't have to worry about redirects or anything I don't want it to load it all good luck trying to do that. this page thought of everything. you cannot debug it and inspect because it will pause your debugger instantly when it knows it's being detected and watched, you cannot block the overlay because they usually it's a randomized generated name so that's pointless and now when you try to go into the view source code JavaScript they make it so you can't block a path that has an IP address they simply put a bunch of slashes in there and the name will be something like hey boy and then a bunch of slashes and then another path but there's no address to block that with I'm telling you this page is thought of everything I've never seen anything like it but if you can come up with a way I can block that overlay then hats off to you you did the impossible but thank you again

this is that movie page in question. i included a screenshot. notice the overlay redirect at the bottom. that long url string. how in the world is that loading!? i tried everything! can anyone else figure it out?
