Bug? Adblock Plus Causing Strange Image Overlays?

Hi all,

I tried looking through the bugs page (it might have been the things about objects, but I wasn't sure) and through the forums here and I didn't see this posted.

Take a look at this page with ABP active.

(This link will expire after the hurricane goes away, so if you look at this link after a week or two, it might not show up)

The main map covers up a bunch of the links. Here is what I am experiencing on my screen:

If this has already been posted as a bug, just let me know.

I do not have this problem.

What filterset do you use?

Some links contain "a_topad"; perhaps some of your filters matches this.

I am using filterset.g

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

EasyList has the same problem. It's because the State Farm logo is being blocked. Add the following code to fix it.

Code: Select all

That didn't fix it...

I tested the whitelist filter with Filterset.G after you said it didn't work. It works on mine. Are you sure you're using Adblock Plus? Did you include the @@ at the beginning of the filter? Did you hit "Apply" or "OK" after you entered the filter? Make sure you copy and paste the entire filter including "@@".

Using the easylist only, there is a bug.

However, after adding your whitelisting filter, no problem.

 Sorry... I botched up and forgot to press the apply button. Boy, do I feel like an idiot. Stupid Head, thanks for the assistance.

Works fine without whitelisting here, using easylist.

@IceDogg: It is only a problem if you activate "collapse blocked elements". Pretty crappy page styling if things start to overlap when one element is missing...

WP, I do use that option, and still see no issues. It's cut off a tiny bit, but I still get the links.

Maybe because I'm using a larger font size?

Maybe. The positioning on this site is very wrong, it depends on things it shouldn't depend on.
