Please release 0.6. I'm *very* interested in what has changed/added since a 2/3 year development. I'm eager to find out, If I have to hack someones computer or assault someone at the bank, I'm going to test adblock plus 0.6.

mcm stopped development on .6 since he did not think that haveing 2 versions called adblock plus was good idea

I won't be releasing a version 0.6 of the plus version I created. I have been privy to see Adblock 0.6 from rue and co and have been helping to test it. But it needs a few minor bugs fixed before a beta can be released. But development has kind of been neglected again since Jan and I don't really have permission to release it until they're ready so I guess it's up to them when.

Well that sucks..

Could it be possible to to *push* the developers to *officially* start working on it again, by releasing to select few, or leaking it, remember what happend at bugzilla, rue popped out of nowhere and started working on 0.4 a bit more, after they were in the talks of removing adblock from UMO.

I'm L-A-Z-Y.. but If it were me I wouldn't let a good project die off like that just because other devs aren't around, they are off doing other things. but it's your choice you made us fixes and brought us whitelisting/div block/site block/site whitelist in adblock plus 0.5, I'm just wondering what other magic you'll pull from your sleave in the next adblock.

the wait is killer.

So what is the story with Adblock development? Has the project been abandoned? If so then perhaps rue or someone else related to the project needs to put out a call that the project is looking for new maintainers/developers... that would be a responsible thing to do.

No one, of course, would ask rue to work on the project if he doesn't want to or have time but he needs to let people know what's going on. If you can get in touch with him maybe you can tell him that.
