Could somebody tell me what exactly is the use of Object-tabs?
Personally I don't use them becouse they add more (useless) content to a page, while I use Adblock to actually remove that.
Can't, instead of using object-tabs, the information about blockable content just passed thru to the sidebar?
Object tabs
Ok. If I remember correctly, the problem with flash content is that if you right click it, you get flash's context menu and not Firefox's. This meant there was no way of accessing the context menu menu option "Adblock image" to find the URL to block. By putting a box round these objects and attaching a tab to it, it meant that you could click on the tab to get the Firefox context menu and this would allow you to get to the image/object URL to block it.
If I am wrong, can someone please correct me.

You want to know something? ADBLOCK PLUS 0.5 IS DEAD! Should I speak more slowly, I mean S L O W L Y? Why can't you damn idiots discuss your problems of a dead extension elsewhere? Here is now the forum for ADBLOCK PLUS 0.6! There will e no more updates for 0.5, no improvements, there is just 0.6 and nothing else!
@LorenzoC, you are getting a little OTT. Can you calm down, please. Obj-Tabs exist in all versions of Adblock. This thread was about why they are there at all. Also this thread refers to the sidebar which is only a feature of 0.6.
Also, in the Japanese thread, your rant is again out of order. 0.6 has not yet been localised (except into German). There is not a Japanese version yet, so the poster was posting about the latest build available to him.
Lastly, in the Trendmicro Housecall thread, although the reporter was using 0.5.10, exactly the same problem exists in 0.6. Again your rant is out of order.
If you register on the forum, at least you would then be able to edit or delete your posts.
@ecjs, they are listed in the sidebar. When I've looked for them, Flash URLs end in .swf, and the one Java one I've seen ends in .class.
