the first two are a big no-no. they will bring false positives? also i think adblock plus .6 is geared towards new users as is firefox preinstall profile.. understand..

adblock plus .5 and adblock .4 are geared too new users, and advanced users alike.

news users+ are new.. meaning dont develop their own filterset
advanced means they dev. their own, and no how to avoid troubles.

The filters are only examples to show how it is done. Final goal is to offer Filterset.G and other lists for the newbies.

if your objective is to make firefox more easy than use something that's a good starting point.. you should include a basic set to start them off..

filterset.g is not a very good starting point IMHO, because it's so complex and daunting, and very greedy in terms of blocking "all" ads succesfully. what you should do is point to piercieve.com, so if that user wants to use a more aggresive then let kirby be there uncle.


of course they can just use the autoupdater.. but choice and operation is the first for an extensions.
