install failed error code -239

What does this mean and how do I fix it? I am running Mozilla 1.7.12. Lately I can't get Adblock or Adblock plus to work at all. I either get "unloaded" with regular adblock or absolutely NOTHING is blocked and NOTHING is able to be blocked as in nothing shows up in the list of blockable items. What am I doing wrong?
