Adblock isn't blocking the obvious

...or at least what it used to.

I recently reinstalled FF as well as Adblock and found that a lot of ads that used to be blocked aren't anymore. Furthermore, there are no "Block" tabs on them and when I right-click on an ad no menu appears.

Actually, it seems like I don't have a subscription or a filter, not sure what the difference is.

Subscriptions are extensive lists of filters maintained by the community, filters are singular elements used to block advertisements.

If you don't have a subscription or if you haven't added your own filters then AdBlock Plus won't block anything.
