Gmail text ads showing up after Firefox upgrade

After Firefox updated itself recently, text ads in GMail started to appear. Is there a fix for this?

I don't use gmail some I can't really comment on the ads but have you tried the Firefox add-on "Customize Google" http://www.customizegoogle.com/. I've got a feeling it might do the trick for you.
