[BUG] Element Hiding Helper mangles pages with asian chars

Post by Too Lazy to Register »

I've discovered that the Element Hiding Helper addon mangles any webpage that contains Asian characters (definitely Japanese, probably others too). More specifically, huge amounts of white space seems to be added to the page source when Asian characters are encountered.

Example:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rurouni_Kenshin

Note the almost never-ending scroll bar, and huge amount of white space on the page and source. Turning off the Element Hiding Helper causes the page to display properly.

You can find other pages with Asian characters to test with, like pages at:

That page is fine for me here with the latest ABP and EHH installed.

Element Hiding Helper doesn't know about charsets, it should really not make any difference - unless there is a Firefox bug. But I don't see anything unusual on the Wikipedia page, EHH works there as usually.
