Adblock Plus

adblock puts an icon on my screen in a number of sites. It looks faintly like a tab and says adblock plus. If I click it the preferences window opens. Unfortunately, it is sometimes directly over a link I want to use. Can I eliminate it, since there are other ways to open preferences? If not, can I move it?
