Adblock Plus

My adblock does not work. it has NEVER worked. I get pop-ups constantly. I am about to go to safari. Can anyone help? I add filters but the same popups come back. If they went to the task bar - fine, but they open in a new window on top of what I'm doing. I am of the opinion that this sucks big time.

The main purpose of Adblock Plus is to eliminate ads within a web page:

If you have:

or, more likely with Adblock installed:

It's probably because of an adware infection. Check out:
