Secure site ?

Post by scgirl »

As a new member and a relatively ignorant computer user, I noticed that after installation,my little "locked key" at the bottom of the page is no longer unbroken-does this mean that my site is not secure ,or....? I just know all of you are probably laughing your collective intelligent heads off, but I truly would appreciate knowing whether or not everybody in the www can now access all my pitiful information,. Thanks in advance for any help. Kat :?:

I doubt so. I believe there would be a locked key when you are on a secured site. Try going to gmail for instance.

The padlock appears "locked" if you are visiting a website with "security" enabled. If you are visiting a website without "security", the padlock is open. You just happened to visit a website without "security".

Try http://mail.google.com/ for a padlock-enabled website.

AdBlock does not affect the padlock functionality.
