Removing Adblock Plus

The problems I have had since I installed ABP greatly outweigh any ads I might have had.
Firefox has been rendered useless, shutting down randomly sometimes with out even a key click, but 3 out of 5 key clicks causes a session ending shut down.
Please, just tell me how to remove the program.
I have done something and the icon is no longer available but the problem exists.

Uninstalling extensions

Try uninstalling it, with the method provided by IceDogg, but probably the problem will remain because it is caused by other reason, not by ABP.
