ABP virus ? if it's a virus in your system just ask for help on the specialized forums.
ABP addon is not a virus.

I AM, in fact, asking for help on a 'very specialized forum.' And while I understand your perspective, and your goal, you continue to evade the question completely.

As JustSomeGuy999 said:
"If it's not possible to fully remove the program - if your program makes changes to my system that are impossible to undo - then is that not the behavior of a virus?"

So again... how do I get rid of ABP in its ENTIRETY from my system??

You said it's a virus. Did you scan your system for malware ?

If you are talking about ABP addon, go into manage addons in FF and remove it from there.

scan your system for malware / adware
use malwarebytes antimalware (free version) ==> https://www.malwarebytes.org/
and adwcleaner http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

if still nothing, get unhackme utility (it's trial for 30 days), scan your system again.

You are a lawyer, aren't you?

You are only repeating the same advice you have given everyone else on this forum when asked this question. But you are not answering the question. You are EVADING the question, REDIRECTING, like a good lawyer.

So, for the record: I did not say I have a virus, pe se. I said I agreed with JustSomeGuy999: AdBlockPlus IS A VIRUS IN ITS BEHAVIOUR. I do not have any (other) viruses on my machine or network. I yes, I already run malwarebytes (the paid for pro version) full time. I run anti-virus software full time.

I have done everything advised by everyone, including you. There is no AdBlockPlus addon visible in the FF addons manager page. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, deleted & renamed profiles, folders, etc. Nothing has fixed the problem. ABP is still lurking somewhere, somehow.

You advised: "test firefox portable without any addon". I did this, as did JustSomeGuy999, and indeed the ABP addon DID NOT affect pages I loaded. I followed your advise, have provided feedback to you, the advisor, and you have nothing to say except to treat me like a bleeping idiot, tell me to go back to the beginning and use the FF addons manager, or to run some bleeping anti-malware virus scanning tool. (Btw, those same pages, which load just fine from the portable FF, behave differently when I use a brand new, clean install of FireFox on my machine. This is my point. This is the proof you requested to show there is something on my machine regarding ABP which is very clearly NOT GOING AWAY!)

Please answer this question (or these questions): How do I get rid of ABP in its ENTIRETY from my system? What registry edits must I perform. What hidden folders must I shift-delete? Where in the FireFox profile folders & documents will I find the lurking ABP configuration info which allows ABP to continue to interfere and affect my use of FF, even though I have long ago disabled and uninstalled the ABP addon?

Argh.

I responded in that way because you insisted ABP is a virus. Well, you think has a similar behaviour.

As you remarked, FF portable is ok, so, this means (however, ABP does not write any piece of code in the registry) ABP cannot affect your system like a virus / malware.

Normally, if you reset firefox, eventually delete all the FF profiles in your windows, any ABP trace should disappear. I don't know if you really deleted all those folders / profiles, you should search on mozilla's forums these extreme cases. If I could "see" your system I'd check all these profiles in windows. Could be involved other software. Security software. There could be a lot of reasons.

( I'm not a lawyer, I'm only a volunteer here on forum, trying to help people in my spare time  )

profiles you should delete (first be sure you "see" all the files - folder options ==> check "show hidden files and folders"):

C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
