- Added an option to block ads in local pages (for compatibility with Sage)
- Made whitelist filters apply to both whole pages and individual items

Who the hell would want a cockroach on their toolbar.
The toolbar can be customized to remove this buttom (right-click). Or you might suggest a better icon.

Yea, so it's a development release. Correct?

Major problem with the 0.6.0.3+ release from this morning.
I use CompactMenu 1.7.4.5 and PrefButtons 0.3.4 (among the 67 extensions I have installed).

1) installed 0.6.0.3+ over 0.6.0.3 = Both the MenuBar and NavBar were reset to out-of-the-box appearance plus all the PrefButtons and other custom buttons from all other extensions were missing from the Customize Dropdown

Un-installed 0.6.0.3+ = no change to corrupted ToolBars and buttons still missing from the Dropdown.

Deleted localstore.rdf - all Buttons reappeared in the Dropdown and I was able to restore the ToolBars appearances to former 'glory'.

2) installed 0.6.0.3_ a 2nd time = Same problem with ToolBar corruption. This time un-installing 0.6.0.3+ restored the ToolBars.

I would say there is a problem connected to the Toolbar button for AdBlockPlus developmental versions - I am going to try the 2 devel versions further up the thread to see if they present the same problem.

Ed

Wladmir: A request - could you, please, provide some sort of numbering for the development builds? - on both the xpi file and for the EM window - Maybe something along the lines of 0.6.0.3+a, 0.6.0.3+b - etc. Will help those of 'us' who may have multiple Profiles keep track of exactly which version we are testing in which Profile. TIA

Who the hell would want a cockroach on their toolbar. No more testing for 0.6.x if it has cockroaches.
Well, no doubt your contributions will be sorely missed.

Although, I do agree that the icon isn't great (no offense to the designer, it's a great icon, just not great for adblock). Some stylized text of the word AD would be much more appropriate, and wouldn't look so much like the BugMeNot extension's icon.

Spent 5 of the last 8 hours creating new Profiles and breaking them as soon as I install AdBlockPlus 0.6.0.3+, all of the three three devel versions with icons for a Toolbar are causing the same problem which doesn't happen with the 0.6.0.3 'release'.

Something screwy is happening with the icon being inserted into the Customize dropdown area - all the Pref Buttons disappear, any other Buttons that extensions place into the dropdown disappear if they aren't mounted on a Toolbar, plus the Compact Menu button disappears from the Menubar and is replaced by the standard Menu-items.

If I delete localstore.rdf all the various Buttons reappear in the Customize dropdown and CM's Menu icon reappears on the Menu-bar, but I end up with Location boxes on both the Menu-bar and the Nav-bar along with Back, Forward, Refresh, Stop, and Home icons on both bars. If I un-install 0.6.0.3+ and delete localstore.rdf the duplication of Buttons and the Location box goes away.

I honestly believe the main malfunction is a poor interaction with Compact Menu and the mods I do to the Toolbars, but what I am troubled by is the disappearance of the Button icons in the Customize dropdown.

Ed

Edit: Forget about Compact Menu being part of the problem, same thing happens without Compact Menu - all Buttons added into the Customize dropdown disappear from the dropdown area if any of the devel versions of AdblockPlus 0.6.0.3+ are installed after the other extensions are installed. Things seem to be OK if AbP 0.6.0.3+ is installed as one of the first extensions being installed.

I just installed 0.6.0.4(yes, 4, not 3), & so far so good :) I like having the toolbar button instead of showing in the status bar, too :)

@the-edmeister Good to see you here - I did not have problems you encountered, but I uninstall previous version and re-install DevBuild. Perhaps overlaying 0.6.0.3 Development Builds doesn't play nice with something.

Also, Using dropdown menu for "disable on this page" requires a refresh to see changes, as does unchecking that option to re-enable for that page. This is a departure from before, where results obtained by adding filters added were seen immediately.

I may go back to "0.6.0.3 stable/28k" & use CTRL-SHIFT-A/B for options; I wouldn't really use the added drop-down function of "disable for this page," which are not available without the toolbar icon and drop-down button. It IS available on the status bar button (0.6.0.4 that is, not in 0.6.0.3) which is looking more appealing to me although I normally don't show status bar. The status bar button actually DOES A LOT, including "instant-off" gesture, which is nice.

With Status Bar button you get the "disable for this page" option plus the mouse gesture. That would actually be more useful (to me at least, all depends on our individual personal preferences) than the toolbar button, though I'd prefer toolbar if it didn't have the arrow and did all that the status bar button does. These are aesthetics though, and don't affect the "engine," which is what I'm most interested in and impressed by.

@the-edmeister: just a note - there aren't three development builds, there is only one. All three links are the same, I'm simply replacing the file whenever I release a new dev-build.

Please install version 0.6.0.4 or the development build I'm releasing now. If you still see the problems you are describing - please write me.

Adblock Plus 0.6.0.4+

Warning: This is a development build and as a such it hasn't been fully tested and might not work properly. Use it at your own risk and make sure to save your filters list.

Changes:
- Fixed: Toolbar icon won't change when disabling (small icons only)
- Mozilla Suite/Seamonkey: Made "Open sidebar" available via context menu and keyboard shortcut, sidebar installs automatically
- Preferences dialog: Line height decreased

Testing in Mozilla Suite/Seamonkey would be appreciated.
