@nischwartz: I am now sure that the Yahoo developers simply have a bug in their code - they forgot to increase a counter variable. I sent a full description of this issue and the proposed solution to Ratan Hudda, lets hope this way we will get a reaction sooner than usually when you try to contact Yahoo's support.

I can't because it is embedded in the message ... not a request.

So you are you saying that if a blocked item is included in the html of an email message, that it will cause the entire message box to fail? That sux!

Oh. Well....

... does this repair the problem?

Code: Select all

@@|http://*mail.yahoo.
(there are still no ads if the element filter is used)

It will make sure that Adblock doesn't block anything. But there are other things that can block images. And images can simply fail loading, for whatever reasons. This really has to be fixed at Yahoo.

I absolutely agree. But at least it can get users through this until it is fixed without blaming us for it. :wink:

@rick752

How do I get that code? Do I need to wait for an update of the subscription?

@ nischwartz

I'll tell you what ... I'm going to add it as I still see no ads with the element filter used. Let me know how this works.

I'm going to remove the general whitelist until I can isolate the actual message pane (see PM to you). If this is a problem for now, simply disable ABP if the message box doesn't appear. They should only be isolated instances.

I'll get to the bottom of this I hope. :evil:

OK, now this is really starting to annoy me.

Without a whitelist and linking to and "requesting" a known blocked item in an email that I sent to my Yahoo mail, it STILL doesn't give me this problem.

I'm at a loss.....
