BUG: Changing text size on pages with frames

When Adblock Plus is enabled (in the Add-ons manager, NOT by right-clicking on the Adblock Plus icon and selecting enable), changing text size on pages with frames does not work correctly.

Reproducing the bug:

1. Go to a page that uses frames. (e.g., http://clean.cs.ru.nl/).

2. Press CTRL-[+] thrice to magnify text from "size 0" to size 3.

3. Click on a link that takes you to another page with frames (e.g. another page on the same website).

4. Notice that the text size has reverted to 0. However, if you press CTRL-[-] now, to decrease text size, it will not go to size -1, but to size 2.

This only happens on pages with frames. I tried this with Firefox 1.5.0.7 and the latest Bon Echo nightlies on Windowx XP.

Adblock Plus 0.7.1.2

This bug probably wasn't present is previous Adblock Plus releases because I noticed this annoyance only a few weeks ago.

Adblock Plus is not the only extension that's causing this, Firebug 0.4.1 also has the same effect.

I can confirm. Test conditions: Firefox 2.0, fresh profile, logging onto Gmail (many iframes). It happens on any page with frames or iframes whether blocking is enabled or disabled. I always wondered what caused the bug.

this seems to also depend on the page. I first tried on earthlost.de (you have to be registered there) and the bug can't be reproduced there. The same on http://www.planspiel-boerse.de/SKNuernberg/ (click on the link "PB Impressum" down left)

On the page (http://clean.cs.ru.nl/) mentioned by you I'm seeing the bug as well though.

edit: hem, forgot to mention I'm using the latest Bon Echo nightly (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061019 BonEcho/2.0 ID:2006101903) with these extensions

This is bug 337356. It has been fixed on trunk - not on the 1.8 branch however. Since this patch is low priority and relatively high risk I don't think we can get it checked in on the branch.

I see. Then it is not a bug in Adblock Plus, but a problem with Firefox itself.

Would it be possible to make this bug go away at least when Adblock Plus is disabled? (I mean middle clicking on the Adblock icon, not disabling from the add-ons manager.)

While it is not a big problem if magnification does not work correctly on the occasional site, it can be very annoying if you use Google Groups in tree view every day.
