Adblock Plus disables javascript on all sites O_O

Post by Dragon »

For some reason today all sites that used javascript stopped working and looked really weird, isolated the problem to adblock plus, uninstall that, works fine, install it, no sites work properly, javascript error window is full. Install adblock regular, everything works fine.

Any clues? I got febe if I need to upload my extensions or something.

post your filter list.
or maybe you have a bugged version of Adblock.

I hope this doesn't have anything to do with the EasyList. I just did a rewrite of the filters 6 hours ago. JS seems to be working just fine here, though.

Could you post a link to a bad page?

Also, check whether you can find the filter responsible for this: http://adblockplus.org/en/tips?tip=effective_filter

I use the Adblock FIlterse.G Updater with no customizations, no other modifications. Tried downloading a new copy, no go.

When it does it for me ALL pages are bad, anything with javascript doesn't work at all

And when this happens - is "Enable JavaScript" checked in Firefox options? You find this setting under "Content".

It stopped doing it for a few days, now it's doing it again, and yes, the javascript button is checked. I don't think it's just java script tho, seems ALL formatting other than very plain HTML is being disabled.

How it looks normally (Using regular Adblock):

[removed huge pics showing a page where everything is blocked]

How it looks if I disable Adblock and enable Adblock Plus:

[removed huge pics showing a page where everything is blocked]

It's more than just javascript being disabled.

and sorry about the big pics heh

And I just disabled all but 3 extensions, tab mix plus, all in one sidebar, and adblock plus.

Adblock plus still causes the pages to look like that (just the other two don't)

@Dragon: Adblock and Adblock Plus use separate filter lists. Your list for Adblock Plus must have a bad filter somewhere. Please read the page I linked to twice already.
