Adblock Flash

Post by mlevit »

Hey,

Could the Adblock tab which appears on all flash animations be taken away and the old CTRL+F be put in again.

For those who don't know, CTRL+F would place an image over every flash on the page with the same link as the flash animations which they covered, makes pages look a lot better without having those Adblock tabs there.

Thanks

I, personally, would rather not see ANYTHING extra on the page I'm on .... ESPECIALLY if I'm watching a flash video. I don't use the 'obj-tabs' option anyway, even to find filters. But I guess that's just me. :?

If you don't like the tabs over the flash, why don't you just turn it off in the options?

I must admit that (at least for the majority) there should be at least be an easier way to 'toggle' the obj-tabs on and off without having icons/images clutter the screen. Most don't want to dig thru the menu all the time.

I know that there are also some bugs and difficulties with trying to implement different ways to show a flash element address on a page. Obj-tabs used to be a hot topic.

Hmmm ... I guess I should just sit back and wait for Wladimir's response to this one.

Yes you can, with sidebar:

First i also missed Overlay Flash -feature, because i don't like those Obj-tabs and i keep them off.
And first it was little harder to block with sidebar, but when i did notice that in many cases ad JavaScript files do load those Flash ads and it's more effective to block those files.
Then after that i did not missed removed Overlay Flash anymore.

ps: my english sucks:)
