AdBlock & Yahoo Photos
Does anyone use the new Yahoo Photos Beta? I can't block the blue box on the right that says "we want your feedback", & also the box that says "see your friends' photos here". Because I'm using Linux, those 2 boxes overlap some of the other content on the page. I have the latest version of AdBlock Plus in Firefox 1.5.0.4(I'm unable to upgrade FF right now). Can anyone help me figure out how to block those 2 boxes? I've tried everything to find the target urls, but to no avail. HELP!

I'll try to post a screen shot later, so you can see what I mean.

I do have a Yahoo account, but not for the photos beta. I've logged in to the main photos area but do not see what you are describing there. Is this something you only see after you register?

I tried it. I only used it for a few minutes but enough to notice that it is very beta (btw, where do they say it? and did I sign up as a beta tester anywhere?) and very Yahoo - I hated it already.
Code: Select all
photos.yahoo.com#*(in-prod-1)

It's not beta anymore, so all Yahoo members have it. I think you should give it a chance, it works nicely & it's a great place to store your photos. Unlimited storage... can't beat that!
Thanx for the code, it worked! WOOHOO!!

I have seen several of these messages, either with "500 Internal Server Error" or with "400 Bad Request". A few clicks resulted in something like "Sorry, unknown error has occured". When I tried to upload a photo the upload was successful but adding it to the album failed - I guess they didn't really catch the meaning of the word "transaction". The whole interface seems to load huge amounts of data from Yahoo, it is awfully slow on my connection - that's really not what AJAX is about. Oh, and those tips on every page pretending to be the most important element there (at least if you look at the color scheme) - they are incredibly annoying.Transaction Failed
We are sorry, the server responded with an error or failed to respond at all.
The error was: 500 Internal Server Error

Oh yeah, I've seen that one. It's the first time anything like that has happened to me. But I'm sure they'll fix it soon, if not already. They usually don't let things like that go for long. It's probably a glitch in the server, which is not uncommon. It happens on all websites from time to time.
