OS X Filter subscriptions

Post by Andy »

I have just updated my macs FF adblock to the most recent adblock plus. I am curious why i have no options for filter subscriptions likei do for my windows machine.

Any help is appreciated

I guess you have a subscription already - the window only shows up for people who have none. It is only there to raise awareness of the subscriptions.

If you want to see it - type "about:config" (without the quotation marks) into the location bar. Then copy the following text there:

Code: Select all

javascript:void openDialog('chrome://adblockplus/content/tip_subscriptions.xul', '_blank', 'chrome,centerscreen,resizable=no,dialog=no')
Edit: Or do you mean that you don't have suggestions in the "Add subscription" dialog? That would be a different thing...

I have sort of the same problem, a pic probably shows the basic issue:

A have simply no menubar in the adblock+ prefs. Hence i can't access any menuentries to i.e. subscribe filtersets. Of course the subscription (link from webpage) works, but since i wouldn't be able to do any further configuration....

I am using Adblock Plus 0.7.1.2, Firefox 2.0b1, OS X 10.4.7 (PPC). Usually i am not using the default FF-skin, but for a testdrive i have enabled it - same problem, no menubar in Adblock plus. The version 0.7.1.2 is the first one i am using, so i can't say, if this is a new problem - or if it is related to FF2b1 only.

@plink: No, that's how Mac OS works. Don't look for the menu bar inside the window, it is on the top of your screen.
