I cant seem to find a way in adblock to create a new group of filters, is this possible?
If not this would be useful for organizing site specific filters.

You could save those filters in different files, and then subscribe to them. Not a very good solution, though.
That feature would be convenient.

I think this is the idea (being able to create different filter groups) regarding future releases. See changelog:
Plan for Adblock Plus 0.7.2
* Add possibility to disable all filter groups, not just subscriptions

You can use comments to separate filters.
!google-ads
pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/
!intellitext
*.intellitxt.com/intellitxt/front.asp?IPID=*
!other-ads
...
Sorting of the items must be deactivated.

Yes I too use separators to group my own list. You don't get to enable/disable them all at one go, but it's good enough for organisation and navigation.
