A history of Adblock
Somebody filed a bug asking for a better explanation on the relation between Adblock, Adblock Plus 0.5 and Adblock Plus 0.6, some more elaborate version of http://adblockplus.mozdev.org/faq.html#adblock. I couldn't sleep so I wrote this: A not so short history of Adblock. I'm not sure what to do with it now, it isn't exactly a good answer to the FAQ question :) But some might still find it interesting. I was trying to stay as objective as possible.

I would link it in the short FAQ answer.
As FAQ I would write something like this:
What is the relation between Adblock, Adblock Plus 0.5 and Adblock Plus 0.6?
Adblock Plus 0.6 is an completely rewritten version of Adblock. Only some small parts of the code stayed the same from the old Adblock or Adblock Plus 0.5.
It includes all features of Adblock 0.5 as well as the most important features of Adblock Plus 0.5.
As the original Author of Adblock Plus 0.5 (MCM) lately entered the Team around the original Adblock he didn't have enough time to continue with this project. He gave me the permission to overtake Adblock Plus as an separate extension.
If you want to know more about the relation between these extension, you can have a look at the history.

if not its only name stolen from an old extension which works and cant the same
Suggestion make a APLPHA TAG if it will work same like old adblockplus 0.5.11.2enh
adblockplus 0.6.0.4alpha sounds and looks better because than all can see it is in a working process and it will be have again the old same good working funktions like adblockplus 0.5.11.2enh do
if not than its better to take a new name.
i only want the same funktion like the old already have.

Why don't you take the old one then? Why do you bother about updates at all if all you need is "same funktion"?i only want the same funktion like the old already have.
On the other hand - if you install an updated version, you expect something to change, right? Isn't it why there are updates?
The eBay page has different content on every reload, it is impossible to test anything with it. You have to give me a concrete example (best: address of the ad and filterset) where the two versions of Adblock Plus produce different results. As far as I know 0.5.11.2 and 0.6.0.4 should mostly produce same results with the same filterset. There were two minor changes but I doubt you'll notice them (not with Filterset.G anyways).
