With seamonkey nightlies, ads are sometimes blocked, sometimes not at all; sometimes reinstalling seems to help, sometimes not.
Why can't adblock be made more robust so as to avoid these problems? Or is this a mozilla core issue?
Also, there seem to be new kinds of iframes which, when you right-click and press 'adblock iframe' on them, only produce a blank URL. e.g.
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/12/29 ... page2.html
the iframe on the right of the page. These are probably script-generated.
problems continue with 0.5.11.1
Me too
I have noticed this isue too.
But I realiced that when AdBlock Plus stops working propoerly, my SeaMonkey changes the language in menus and other things from spanish language to english-US language.
Going to preferences and change lotation from ES-ES to EN-US, and back to ES-ES solve this problems, but is very anoying to do this everytime adblock plus stops working.
I was testing if any other extension interferede whit Adblock plus, but that problem happens even if AdBlock Plus is the only extension installed.
I have not tried to use SeaMonkey in default US language/location to see if fails in that way too.
[PD: Sorry for my poor english]

Re: Me too
I use US English anyways, so that doesn't help me much.

but reinstalling adblock plus does seem to work for me.

einpoklum, can't help you much as it seems to work fine for me including removing those iFrames you mentioned.
MAD-Max, I'm a little suprised you are able to change the Adblock locale from English. There is a bug with Mozilla which means that the very first locale registered is used regardless of what locale the browser is set to or using. Upon request I have put out a French only version which solves the problem by there being only one locale, that version can be found here:
http://extensions.geckozone.org/AdblockPlus
The easiest thing to do is to uninstall Adblock Plus. Download the latest xpi and rename the file extension to ".zip" and extract. Open the "install.js" file in a text editor and at the top you will find a variable called "extLocaleNames". Make sure that "es-ES" is the only one listed. Then repackage and install.
