Adblock Plus prevents Video from CNN.com from working

I have recently found out that since installing Adblock Plus with my latest release Firefox, that I was no longer to view video clips from cnn.com. CNN would say that "Windows Media Player is not detected". After much frustration, I have found that uninstalling Adblock Plus fixed the problem. I have reverted to using Adblock (NOT plus) because it does not have this issue.

Hopefully this can be addressed in the next release. I love adblock, and I was liking adblock-plus, until I was forced to go back.

Not having that problem here with Adblock Plus 0.7.1.2 w/EasyList & EasyElement filters.

Are you using Windows 98 by any chance?

I did get that warning without Adblock Plus, so i think your report is invalid.
(i did test with new profile.)

Tip for you, clear your cookies and you will see it again:)

edit: because i'am not that sure if he/she means same warning, i give this screenshot, that is warning i get.
It does not matter if i click exit(upper corner x) or "continue to video", those videos do work, without and with Adblock Plus.

And it's good that: i need to clear cookies if i wanna see that warning again.

I have been having the same problem. I finally realized that it was due to Adblock Plus. It may be only a Macintosh FireFox problem, but the same problem has existed for a long time now. In order to watch any CNN video I need to either turn off Adblock Plus - or switch to Safari.

alternatively, can you try whitelisting cnn's video section?

adding the code above to the exception list in firefox for OSX's adblock fixes the CNN video problem.
