firefox 2 and adblock do not work

I get the message that adblock plus will not work with this version of firefox. Is there a work around or patch?

There shouldn't be any problems. Download the latest version of Firefox which is 2.0.0.11 from http://www.mozilla.com/ and install the latest version of ABP which is 0.7.5.3 from http://adblockplus.org/en/installation. Once installed choose a filter subscriptions from http://adblockplus.org/en/subscriptions. See how you go after that.

Adblock Plus works perfectly fine with Firefox 2. So unless what you are using is actually Firefox 3 Beta...
