Google have just acquired Greenborder and this may have implications for adblock plus - the remainder of my post is essentially that even before google acquired it, the program interfered with some plugins and addons in firefox, so keep an eye on the google version when it is released just incase.
I dont know if any of you have heard of 'Greenborder' Its a sandbox program for applications that connect to the web. Basically defeats spyware and viral code by disallowing permanent writes to the registry or or other settings. It only allows internet software to write on a per session basis. for a better explanation see here - https://supportcenteronline.com/ics/sup ... eptID=4049
Anyway it already interferes with the filter list in customizegoogle and that was before google acquired it. The problem is that if you write a customizegoogle filter to stop links appearing in a google page, the next time you run firefox the filter is no longer there.
I have not found the behaviour when applying adblockplus filters but with the attitudes prevalent in the affiliates and adsense schemes who knows what google might choose to do with it. I thought someone at adblockplus.org should be aware of this development

I think that is just a problem with Greenborder not allowing things save properly. I used Sandboxie for a while, which is the same kind of program and I had issues like this on some extensions but then later they were fixed. I don't think it's intentional. But that's only my opinion. I don't know the inner workings of Greenborder or ABP.
