Mac OS X 10.4.9
Firefox 2.0
Adblock plus 0.7.5.1
I may just have a configuration issue?!? but... When viewing sites that have blocked ads (like doubleclick ads), the images are blocked, but they are replaced with text. If the text does not have spaces to break across lines (long strings), it ends up pushing graphics out in effect breaking the layout of the page.
Ive tried collapsing blocked elements, but only thing that works to fix the pages is to turn abp off?!?
blocked images appear as text 'breaking' page layout...
example...
nfl.com
the following text is displayed breaking the page....
src="http://ad.doubleclick.net/ad/slams.nfl. ... 1179939429?" width="230"
the following text is displayed breaking the page....
src="http://ad.doubleclick.net/ad/slams.nfl. ... 1179939429?" width="230"
Looks like some other extension is at work there - Greasemonkey, Flashblock or something else. The only Adblock Plus option that might affect this is Collapse blocked elements - but I assume you have it switched on already.
Conflict with NoScript
Ok. Figured out it was a conflict with the NoScript extension for Firefox.... Was able to fix it by turning off placeholder feature in NoScript.
